Hands-On with the Losi Micro-B and Micro-T

Our first impressions after hitting the indoor track

We’ve had some fun this month putting the Losi Micro-B Buggy and the Micro-T Stadium Truck through their paces on our indoor race track here at Hobby Mounts. These little machines might be small, but don’t let the size fool you — they’ve got some serious character.

Straight out of the box

Both models are fully assembled, come with everything you need to get going (including batteries), and are ready to run. The build quality is proper hobby-grade: aluminium chassis, oil-filled shocks, and a solid feel all round.

The Micro-B, at 1/24 scale, has a lower stance and feels fast and nimble. The Micro-T, slightly smaller at 1/28 scale, has that bouncier stadium truck feel and a bit more playfulness on the turns.

On the track

We’ve tested these on our showroom track — tight corners, short straights, a few jumps — and they handled brilliantly.

• The Micro-B is smooth, responsive, and ideal if you want that planted, racing-line experience.

• The Micro-T is a little more forgiving and playful, great for chucking around and having a laugh.

They both hit around 13mph top speed, which is properly quick for something you can fit in your pocket.

Battery and charge

Charge time is about an hour, and we were getting close to 20 minutes of run time. It’s enough for a solid evening of fun without constantly swapping batteries.

Who are they for?

Honestly — anyone. These are great for all ages, perfect for indoors or compact spaces, and ideal if you’re just getting into RC or want something fast, affordable, and low-maintenance. And at just £99, it’s hard to find anything else that compares for the price.

Our verdict

We’re seriously impressed. These are proper little racers and a great addition to the Losi range. We’ve got both models in stock in multiple colour options, and they’ve already become a hit during our Thursday night race sessions.
