Finally! It’s here.  The NEW Official GoPro Hero 3+ Higher Capacity 1180mAH Battery has been announced and due for release in the UK around the 18th December 2013.

It took a while for the new higher capacity 1180mAH battery to come through but at last, you can get your hands on it.  It will even work in the previous Hero 3 giving your camera a little bit longer running time.

However, don’t think using the new 1180mAH in your Hero 3 will give you the same run time as the Hero 3+ as the higher capacity battery was just a small part of making the Hero 3+ better on battery life.  Things like the microprocessor chip used are a big factor in how long the camera will run for as this now uses less power than the previous version in Hero 3 Cameras.

Well, it’s finally arrived and it’s what all GoPro Hero 3 Plus users have been anticipating, the release of a dedicated Hero 3 Plus Battery BacPac with the correct Backdoors for the Hero 3 Plus Camera. Hooray!

So, the history.  Originally, the Hero 3 Battery BacPac came with Backdoors that suited the Hero 3 Housing.  However, with the release of the GoPro Hero 3 Plus came a new housing and that’s right, although the Battery BacPac fitted the new Hero 3 Plus, the Backdoors didn’t.

Well, now you can get your hands on the NEW Hero 3 Plus Battery BacPac with the correct Bacdoors for the Hero 3 Plus Housing,
