GoPro Karma Quadcopter named and announced for 2016

So, if you’ve been following the whole GoPro/DJI relationship and then non-relationship you’ll realise why GoPro are developing their own quadcopter or possible range of quadcopters and the first has been named Karma.

Is this a dig at DJI? Who knows!

But what we do know is that it’s being developed right now and will be available from June 2016 onwards, possibly just before Xmas.

The GoPro Karma will likely be a quadcopter, ie, 4 rotors and have a 3-axis gimbal of some description which pilots will be able to attach their GoPro Hero Camera.

We don’t know at the moment which camera it will be compatible with and if the next generation of Hero Camera (Hero 4+ or Hero 5) is available before or around the same time then it could be that it will be compatible with the latest offering.

Hopefully the GoPro Karma Quadcopter will be a massive hit but either way, we’ll be stocking it on our website www.hobbymounts.co.uk
